Dear Gentle Reader,
You are invited to spend a very special afternoon with us in the Sugarcoated by Lisa studio in the village of Ardfinnan.
For two and a half relaxed hours, you will decorate your own vintage style piped cake, hand pour a beautiful scented candle, and enjoy a generous afternoon tea with bubbly, tea and coffee.
This event has been in planning since last year. We have been waiting for the right time to bring it to life, and we are so looking forward to welcoming you.
Vintage Cake Decorating
You will decorate your own vintage-style piped cake under Lisa’s guidance.
Think:
• classic piped borders
• delicate swirls
• timeless romantic detail
• elegant finishes
Your finished cake will be boxed beautifully for you to bring home.
No experience necessary, just a love of beautiful things.
Candle Making with Kandle Queen
Alongside your cake, you will hand-pour your own scented candle into a delicate vintage teacup.
A calming, sensory moment within the afternoon.
A keepsake that will remind you of the day each time you light it.

Aisling is originally from Tipperary and now based in Meath, and this is her second time returning to the studio for a joint event. We genuinely love hosting these afternoons together.
Afternoon Tea and Bubbly
While you create, you will enjoy a full afternoon tea with a selection of sweet and savoury treats, freshly brewed tea and coffee, and a glass of bubbly on arrival. There will be both alcoholic and non alcoholic options available.
You will not be going away hungry. You will be fed creatively and emotionally in every way.

Please let us know at the time of booking if you require gluten free or dairy free options. We will not be in a position to add these at a later date
. All food is prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens. While every care is taken, we cannot guarantee the absence of cross contamination.
This is an over 16s event.
Places are limited to keep the afternoon relaxed and comfortable for everyone.

What a lovely day so well organised. The day was lovely and relaxed. Lisa was amazing doing the demo. All the food was amazing. I cant remember the other ladies name that we did the candle making with she was so nice. Was lovely to have the candle at the end. My only issue would be doing the candles second didnt make sense as they did take a long time to dry we had already run late with the cake decorating. Would love to do another day.

I completely understand your point about the candle making. We scheduled it at the end from a food safety point of view, but I can definitely see how doing it first would have given the candles more time to dry before everyone headed home. It’s something I’ll certainly keep in mind for future workshops. I hope to see you again soon!
