I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the Sugarcoated by Lisa story in two podcast interviews that truly meant a lot to me – The Imperfect Cookie and Women in Business on Tipp FM. Being able to speak openly about the ups, the downs, and the sweet middle ground of running a baking business has been such a rewarding experience.

Embracing Imperfection: Lisa on The Imperfect Cookie

In my chat with The Imperfect Cookie, we talked about what it’s really like behind the scenes of a creative business – from staying motivated during tough times to balancing creativity with the not-so-glamorous admin and health & safety checklists. We touched on the importance of accepting imperfection, trusting your instincts, and just showing up – even when things don’t go to plan.

It was real, honest, and totally refreshing.

Spotlight on Women in Business: Lisa on Tipp FM

This one was particularly special – being featured on Tipp FM’s Women in Business segment gave me the chance to reflect on how Sugarcoated by Lisa started and how it’s grown. From baking custom cakes in my kitchen to running cupcake decorating classes and team-building events, it’s been a whirlwind journey.

We also talked about how important it is to create something meaningful – not just a product, but an experience people remember. Whether it’s a child’s first cake class or a team laughing over icing mishaps, it’s all about connection and joy.

I’m incredibly grateful for these conversations and the support from the amazing communities around me. If you’re curious about the behind-the-scenes of running a creative business – or just love a good story about sugar, resilience, and doing what you love – give them a listen.

Thanks as always for cheering me on  – Lisa x
